During the press conference, the Associate Professor Dr Haji Asbol bin Haji Mail, the Honorary Secretary of PESEBAR, said members of the public who would like to join PESEBAR will need to fill in a form and the registration fee for students is BND$5 and BND$10 for members of the public including government officers.
“The registration fee will also cover a life membership and members do not have to pay to participate in seminars, workshops and other activities organised by Brunei Historical Society,” he said.
Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi added that PESEBAR will conduct a seminar next year in collaboration with Malay Islamic Monarchy Supreme Secretariat (MTMIB) on the economic activities of the Malay community, especially in Brunei Darussalam, and will propose various local presenters to present working papers on the history and the future of Malay Islamic Monarchy.
PESEBAR has 430 members and has successfully published ‘Commemorative Book’ in conjunction with Brunei’s 25th Independence Day Celebrations which contains 14 articles based on the research study by local scholars. The publication was sponsored by Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation.
