BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei History Association (PESEBAR) is now thirty years old. It will hold its sixth general meeting on Sunday at Dewan Jawatan Dalam, Brunei History Centre.
According to the Assistant Honorary Secretary of PESEBAR, Dr Awg Hj Md Hadi Md Melayong, the association was established in 1984 following an agreement of some intellectuals interested in the field of history.
Among the objectives of the formation of the association was to facilitate research and study, to produce documents on the history of Brunei, to take care of the historical places and to keep old records on the Sultanate.
Members of the public especially those interested in Brunei history are invited to join PESEBAR. Registration fee is five dollars for a life-time membership for students and ten dollars for adults or government officers.
